[ Hyperactive and Impatient | Sharp | Unpredictable | Fast | Joker and Childish ]
[Hyperactive and Impatient]
He loves nothing more than to feel the wind on his face as he runs, and the whistling in his ears. He loves getting out of camp and takes volunteers for patrols when he can. His joys include running, chasing, racing, swimming- anything that involves not sitting still! He usually hates hunting, due to a lot of the waiting, but he's great at catching squirrels and the occasional rabbit.
He may not like to stay and listen to what you're saying, but he catches on pretty quick. He could hear bits of what you were saying and still understand the basics. He learns quickly more by watching than by listening. He also has sharp eyesight, making it easy for him to spot prey before the others.
He's known to be self-centered then generous, joking then serious, oblivious then observant, childish then mature, loud then quiet, and overall bipolar. He often surprises people.
As said before, he loves to run and never sits still. His mind is the same way. Everything needs to be quickly done at a fast pace or he's not satisfied.
[Joker and Childish]
He loves to tease and crack jokes often. Though plenty of cats will chuckle at his gestures, and older warriors will roll their eyes. He loves telling stories to kits.
B A C K S T O R Y
As a kit, he was forced to stay put all the time by his mother. He was an only child, but got along with other kits in the nursery. He always played and seemed to have boundless energy. He was almost named Runningkit or Hyperkit due to his inability to sit still. His father went out on a hunting trip one morning and never came back, and everyone refused to tell him why and wouldn't talk about it. Grasswhisker was eventually forgotten, or at least never mentioned ever again. Sideblaze still wonders what happened to his father.
As an apprentice, he was often busy chasing butterflies or playing around with the other apprentices. He used to be a sort of "big brother" figure to the 5-moon-olds in the nursery, teaching them the basics of hunting and fighting (though the mothers disapproved). He'd be reckless during training and often would scare away prey when hunting. When he realised he couldn't become a warrior until he learned to control himself, he worked harder, along with apprentices who were moons younger than him. He still retains a childish personality who isn't one for a lot of thinking, but he's learned to calm down when needed.
His mother got hit by a monster on a hunting patrol during this time, which only motivated him more.
Now as a warrior, he will often venture out of the camp and explore the outer reaches of RiverClan, running to his heart's content. He shows no interest in getting an apprentice or becoming deputy. He'll spar once in a while with one of the warriors to brush up on fighting skills, but he otherwise doesn't fight. He's quite proud of being the fastest cat in the Clan, rivaling even the WindClan cats, and looks for someone who matches his own speed.

(there should be a bullet with a similar meaning. I don't think "good friend" or "best friend" quite describes it well enough.)
Crush / Attraction
"RiverClan cats are pretty cool. We can do anything another Clan can, but we swim, too! Maybe we don't MATCH other Clans, but... Well, can they swim? Didn't think so. ....What? Maybe they don't want to swim? Pheh, they're just afraid of a little water! We're the bravest of the Clans, and nothing's gonna change my mind."
"Boy, did i love my mother... But she's never let me go anywhere! Always telling me 'Slow down' or 'Patience is a virtue', or 'hold on a minute, Sidepaw'. It was annoying. Only... If i listened more often, would she have been hit by that monster?"
"My father. I remember him in my kit days, always coming back to camp from a patrol with the stench of the marsh on his fur, and mother would always wash him so he didn't stink up the whole warrior's den. He was always easy-going, and he liked fishing. He always brought back the juiciest fish. I don't even know (or remember) where he went, he just didn't come back from a patrol one day. Mother never told me why."
"They seem to have the widest variety of pelt colors, and some of them have odd names. Though i've never really talked to any of them, i've seen them at Gatherings."
"I see those WindClan cats sometimes, running in they're spacious territories. Wow, they're fast! They can catch rabbits and squirrels like they were lightning strikes! I could be that fast one day. Only, they don't climb like i do. There was this one she-cat i remember seeing on the border. She looked like a deer, and her eyes were really pretty... *cough* but yeah, totally wanna run like them!"
"They have a lot of darkly colored cats, which i guess works out for their territory, but it also makes their eyes look a lot brighter. It's kind of freaky. Like ThunderClan cats, i've only seen ShadowClan at Gatherings. Don't really know much about them."
"They jump like rabbits and climb like squirrels! Think maybe i can catch them and bring them to the fresh-kill pile? Hahah. I don't know any of them personally."
Sideblaze watches as the deputy picks out cats for a dawn patrol. The flaming tom quickly stretches, yawns, and pads over to the small group. He sits at the end of the line.
"Sideblaze, at your service~". He dips his head in a joking manner. One of the cats chuckles briefly, while another rolls her eyes.
"I'd actually like you to sit this one out. Such a hard working warrior like you should rest!" Badgerfang said teasingly. Sideblaze's expression dropped to a frown. "If you're feeling really helpful today, you could gather herbs with Feathertail and Mallardpaw. Or maybe pick ticks off the elders' backs?"
"Blegh.. No thanks." He stuck out his tongue for emphasis.
"Great, then go back to your den, we have enough warriors here." He nodded Sideblaze off. The ginger tom turned and padded off, mumbling to himself.
